National Health Service: Progressive thinking in talent management
Our customers have innovative ideas about talent management – and incorporating those ideas has made TalentStudio the most innovative software suite in the marketplace from the very beginning. It all started with National Health Service (NHS) UK, the world’s largest publicly funded health service and fourth largest employer in the world. When NHS approached TalentScope to deploy TalentStudio in its NW Leadership Academy, its management had some very specific – and very progressive – requirements for the software suite. We listened and built in additional integrated functionality that was light years ahead of its time in 2002.
The NHS asked for the ability to manage employee leave in TalentStudio, so we designed functionality that would enable them to use our platform almost as if it were an HRIS. As a result, TalentStudio users can create questionnaires for attendance, annual leave, and sick leave, as well as other forms as needed. Notifications are captured via the TalentStudio “inbox” and issued directly to the subject using standard email accounts. These notifications have a direct hyperlink to the TalentStudio login page and contain the relevant notification information and directions so that managers and program participants can easily ensure that all forms are appropriately completed.
Today, NHS continues to partner with TalentScope to make talent management an integral part of its business strategy in the following areas:
